The underpinning strategic advice was to support key local industries, rather than oppose a mine. It is a subtle but important difference. The key messages were based on economics, typically the platform used by coal mines, but in this case it was the platform for the industries which could be placed at risk by the proposed mine. While we were pleased to provide a blueprint for the strategy we handed over the implementation to the community and business consortium. One example of a document used in the campaign is below.
